I'm Jochelle Garcia Casilad. You can call me "Shell". I currently work as a motion designer at Cotecna PH. I graduated from Far Eastern University Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology major in Digital Arts.
When I was a kid, I was very interested in cartoons and animations. That is why, when I was in college, I focused on 3D filmmaking. I even attended workshops and dedicated my time to creating good stories to tell. While stepping foot in the filmmaking industry, I realized it was not for me. I learned a lot about storytelling on that small journey.
I learned UX when I was job hunting. I thought UX is a career path for EVERY graphic designer, since it is a growing field,
" I value continuous learning. "
So when Jobstreet opened their free online course on FutureLearn, I never had a second thought. I just enrolled in the online program. I fell in love because I value both empathy and logic. It feels like solving a puzzle. I also finished a short course at CIIT Philippines for the UX Essentials course in June 2022.
